Data Axle uses 29 billion records from over 100 different sources to aggregate our consumer database every year. We gather raw data from sources, including voter registration files, bill processor information, utility connections, behavioral data, real estate and tax assessments.  Then we integrate dozens of proprietary enrichment sources so you have a complete picture of the demographic and lifestyle attributes of your prospects. We utilize a combination of internal business rules, industry best practices, and external service providers to build and clean the consumer email database. 

 

·        All consumers in our email database have accepted a privacy policy that permits marketing by third parties. 

o   At the data collection point, a time and date stamp, an IP address, and a source URL are all recorded and stored for future reference. 

o   Validation rules have been created to verify the opt-in details on each record and exclude those which do not meet the established criteria. 

·        All records go through a complete postal address standardization process. 

·        Data Axle maintains an internal suppression file comprised of previous deployment results to scrub the email database of known hard bounces as well as those who have filed complaints or opted out. 

·        IP addresses are run through a validation process to confirm the IP address is legitimate and routable. 

·        All email addresses are processed through a system which validates the deliverability of the email record.  This verification process does not require an actual email to be sent. 

·        Our email database is scrubbed against a list of identified spam traps.
